Alinisikia nikiimba wimbo wa Siti Gandura, unaitwa ‘Alamindura’, Bwana Mahmoud akauliza “Nani mwenye sauti hiyo yenye lafdhi na mahadhi ya kuvutia? Nataka nimjue”
“Bwana Mahmoud akatuma tarishi, kabeba susu limejaa kila kitu kizuri. Vyakula; doti za kanga; asumini; na pesa.
Usiku akaja mshenga kuniambia “Bwana Mahmoud amekupenda. Anataka kukizawij (kukuoa)”.
Ndivyo iliyokuwa zamani. Kaleta mshenga na posa kabla hajaniona”.

Titi Mohamed was a woman of many facets.
Most people in Tanzania know of her as an activist for Uhuru.
